SIBR Donates $1,500 to Eagle’s Nest of St. Clair County to Support Homeless Veterans
Collinsville, IL – The Southwestern Illinois Board of REALTORS® (SIBR) is proud to announce a $1,500 donation to the Eagle’s Nest of St. Clair County, a nonprofit organization based in East St. Louis dedicated to empowering homeless male veterans.
The donation, presented on Friday, June 6, was made possible by proceeds from the Real Estate Professional for Veterans (REP4V) certification course, hosted by SIBR in March. This course was designed to equip both REALTOR® and Affiliate members with the knowledge and skills necessary to better serve current and former military clients in the home buying and selling process.
“It was a privilege to present a check to this outstanding local nonprofit and to learn more about the critical work they are doing to support male veterans experiencing homelessness in our community,” said Erica Kirk, CEO of the Southwestern Illinois Board of REALTORS®. “We are especially grateful to the members who participated in the REP4V course to better understand how to serve the veteran community. A portion of the proceeds from that course directly contributed to a veteran organization to support our community. “
The Eagle’s Nest of St. Clair County’s mission is to empower homeless male veterans to achieve their highest level of self-sufficiency and independence through housing, supportive services, and advocacy. SIBR is honored to support their vital work in our community.
